Job Description

The role involves leading statewide reforms, policy, systems and processes to support compliance with the Mental Health Act 2016.

  • Key responsibilities include providing expert advice on legislation and system-wide policies and procedures, developing initiatives to ensure compliance, employing restorative harm minimisation strategies, and engaging stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have:

  • High-level knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2016 and associated policy or the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills including interpreting and analysing policy data and information.
  • High-level project management skills.
  • Substantial knowledge and skills in business systems development and/or policy and information resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in mental health law and policy.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex policy and data.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Business systems development experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
