Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Perth, WA.

  • Full-time position available
  • Monday to Friday (5:2)
  • 38 hour week
  • Perth City location

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating mechanical engineering efforts across teams to support power station and remote site projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver mechanical engineering design, calculations, and documentation in compliance with relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including project managers, engineers, and contractors.
  • Communicate technical information effectively and provide design input for new power stations and supporting facilities.
  • Support clients with generator installations on remote sites and offer operational guidance for asset maintenance.
  • Identify opportunities for long-term improvements and ensure quality control and compliance with legislation and Australian Standards.
  • Oversee equipment selection, procurement, and site process enhancements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a commercial environment
  • Sound knowledge of process and instrumentation diagram symbolise and flow diagrams
  • Manual driver's licence
  • Ability to work remotely
  • Experience using AutoCAD and MicroStation drafting packages
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD package
  • General knowledge of:
    • Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
    • Compressed air systems
    • Engine exhaust systems
    • Pumping and filtration
    • Basic electrical principles
    • Basic construction principles
