Technical Expert - Unix Administration
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Expert to join our Data Centre Operations Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of the Telstra Defence Terrestrial Communications Network (DTCN) in the Defence Canberra Integration Laboratory (DCIL).
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Technical Expert to work on a varied number of technologies, including VMWare Virtualisation, Microsoft Azure, RedHat Unix, F5 Load Balancers, HP Compute, and Lenovo Compute. You will be responsible for all facets of managing the DTCN platforms, restoring elements to working order, proactively looking for potential issues, managing changes within the environment, maintaining the DTCN Baseline, and looking for opportunities to improve the DTCN platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the DTCN platforms, including VMWare Virtualisation, Microsoft Azure, RedHat Unix, F5 Load Balancers, HP Compute, and Lenovo Compute.
- Restore elements to working order and proactively look for potential issues.
- Manage changes within the environment and maintain the DTCN Baseline.
- Look for opportunities to improve the DTCN platforms.
Requirements
- A minimum of NV1 AGSVA security clearance.
- Experience in Unix Administration and a strong understanding of network and systems operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
