Job Description\

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to provide positive behaviour support to NDIS participants.

\

This role involves working with a diverse client population and mixed caseloads, inspiring, empowering and supporting our team and clients to reach their full potential.

\

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based support plans within a complex support space.

  • Assist NDIS participants, their families and/or carers in identifying needs through assessment and person-centred planning
  • Evaluate, develop and deliver evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
  • Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework
  • Ensure individual plans reflect NDIS participants' goals, passions and strengths
  • Build the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those supporting participants
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners

\About You\
  • Current suitability at Proficient or Advanced level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (documentary evidence required)
  • Considerable experience providing support to people with behaviours of concern (professionally and/or personally)
  • Flawless report writing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable motor vehicle
  • Genuine passion for working in the disability sector
