Are you a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual looking for a career in housekeeping? We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join our team based in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning common areas, sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing kitchens and bathrooms. You will also collect refuse from residents' rooms and dispose of it according to set procedures.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about providing exceptional service and ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent education;
  • A high level of initiative for completing housekeeping assignments efficiently and in a warm, friendly, and customer-service-oriented manner;
  • Ability to communicate well with internal and external customers to meet needs in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and can safely use chemical cleaning agents and equipment;
  • Ability to provide a clear criminal record & Vulnerable Sector check upon hire;
  • Ability to provide a current First Aid & CPR certification;
  • Advanced proficiency in the English language is required, proficiency in French considered an asset;
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and / or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
