Job Description
">We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Drug and Alcohol Support Worker to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering drug and alcohol support services to individuals and families in the community.
">About the Role
">The Drug and Alcohol Support Worker (DASW) will work within the Community Mental Health/Drug and Alcohol (MHDA) team to provide recovery-focused, person-centered drug and alcohol services.
">The scope of practice of DASW will differ and is determined by the Team Manager, based on individual support workers relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
">The DASW will undertake a range of duties to support other clinicians and consumers, including undertaking quality improvement activities conducted within the clinical setting.
">Required Skills and Qualifications
">The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain good professional relationships with colleagues, community groups, and partner organisations.
">The successful applicant will also have a strong understanding of drug and alcohol issues, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
