Job Overview

The role of Clinical Pharmacy Manager is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficiency of clinical pharmacy services within two major hospitals in North West Tasmania.

  • This position requires an individual with extensive experience in providing clinical pharmacy services across various practice settings, as well as leadership expertise in managing clinical pharmacy services within a hospital environment.
  • The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of service delivery frameworks to achieve continuity in medication management and analyzing information on the effectiveness of service provisions.
  • This includes developing and implementing policies and procedures for clinical pharmacy activities and overseeing accreditation processes related to clinical pharmacy.
About the Role

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for:

  • Providing strategic leadership in the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy services;
  • Overseeing the coordination of clinical pharmacy services to ensure alignment with relevant standards and best practices;
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with healthcare teams to promote collaboration and seamless service delivery;
Requirements

To succeed in this role, applicants should possess:

  • A strong background in clinical pharmacy practice, with significant experience in leading clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and workplace guidelines applicable to the practice of pharmacy in a public hospital;
  • An ability to use initiative in implementing practices and projects directed towards good medication management principles.
