We know that awesome people make us a great company, and we're excited to be recruiting for a Marketing Strategist to develop all consumer and grassroots marketing strategies & initiatives for the Wilson brand equity, architecture, concepts, and storytelling to drive awareness and market share in the Australia & NZ markets.
The role reports to the Head of Wilson and is a critical position within our organisation that will act as an internal change agent to challenge the status quo and elevate the Wilson brand. Working directly with each Business unit, this role will ensure a harmonized approach for the development and execution elements for go-to-market plans, utilizing various marketing and grassroots channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customising Global marketing strategies for local use and direction – key global properties including US Open, Roland Garros, NBA, NFL, plus emerging Wilson Sportswear business unit.
- Interpret and act on local consumer trends and needs related to sport and community to develop brand story/ seasonal story/marketing calendar.
- Formulate the annual brand goals and target – In charge of brand marketing plan and budgeting plan.
- Based on consumer insights, develop key brand and product story and formulate holistic communication plan including assets/media/activation etc.
- Leading the ideation and integration of cross-functional marketing campaigns, develop campaign strategy, leading concept and integrated marketing plans, closely work with commercial and merchandising teams.
- Set digital marketing strategy across social media platforms. Drive digital-led consumer journeys informed by consumer insights and analytics.
- Direct local content development strategy, identify and evaluate vendors, generate and brief content direction, and oversee project management.
- Set sports marketing strategy, build strong network including top athletes, junior players, coaches, and sports stadiums to support the brand communication with consumers.
- Enable online and offline stores with sufficient VM support, including store format development, in-store content creation, and distribution, new store opening, seasonal revamp.
- Leadership of new and existing Wilson partnerships across all Wilson brands such as Padel Australia, & Basketball NSW.
- Support B2B communication events, like tradeshow/key account meeting projects.
- Contribute into brand decision process such as product development and channel strategy, based on consumer insights.
