Job Title

The Role of Energy Trader is an exciting opportunity within our Trading Team, based at our Perth Central Park office.

Job Description

As an Energy Trader, you will be responsible for executing real-time trades to optimize Synergy's position through analysis established from a deep understanding of the key short-term drivers, such as generation, demand, transmission, and regulation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Trade the portfolio to create value and manage market exposure.
  • Convert analytical findings into meaningful and actionable insights for a variety of audiences.
  • Coordinate and conduct bespoke market analysis to optimize trading strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve models for high-quality analysis.
  • Originate trading ideas and strategies.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree (Quantitative disciplines are an advantage). You should also possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to read market conditions and make quick decisions based on limited information.
