About The Position

We seek a talented individual to join our Melbourne workshop and acquire expertise in jewellery making. You may have recently finished your jewellery studies or want to commence your career as a jeweller altogether.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support workshop operations by mastering core skills like polishing, repairs, resizing, and cast cleaning through hands-on practice and constructive feedback.
  2. Assist with daily tasks, maintain a clean workspace, and shadow senior jewellers to gain valuable experience.
  3. Follow established safety protocols, contribute to quality control discussions, and uphold exceptional craftsmanship standards.
  4. Manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and exhibit initiative and enthusiasm for continuous learning.
Essential Qualifications:
  1. Demonstrated interest or experience in jewellery, with a clear intention to pursue a career as a jeweller.
  2. Ability to perform meticulous work for extended periods using a microscope, accompanied by highly refined fine motor skills to ensure precision and accuracy in every task.
  3. Proven practical skills in working with tools, not necessarily specific to jewellery, demonstrating manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  4. Ability to learn new practical skills quickly.
  5. Capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and processes.
