We are seeking a visionary leader to drive reform, innovation, and inclusion across the workforce ecosystem.
The Mining and Automotive Skills Alliance is Australia's Jobs and Skills Council for the mining and automotive industries. We bring together industry, governments, educators, and the workforce to design capability solutions that meet today's needs and anticipate tomorrow's challenges.
This role will focus on co-designing scalable workforce pathways to enable upskilling, reskilling, and mobility, with a focus on future technologies such as electrification, digitalisation, and advanced manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in vocational education and training, higher education, workforce development, or skills policy at a senior level.
- You must have deep VET sector expertise and a track record in training product development or qualifications/systems reform.
- Strategic insight into workforce development, policy, and sector-wide reform is essential.
- A strong ability to lead high-performing teams in complex, regulated environments is necessary.
About You:
- As a purpose-driven leader, you will be responsible for overseeing Technical Advisory Groups and ensuring products are informed by strong industry insight and lived experience.
- Collaboration across the organization will ensure that capability solutions are evidence-based, inclusive, and designed for impact.
- Success in this role requires proven ability to design or deliver scalable workforce programs and pathways.
