We are seeking a skilled professional to support the Defence Aviation Safety Authority in maintaining and evolving SALAS, the central live repository for hazards and risks across ADF flying operations.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with data modelling, analysis and structured reporting. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will lead analysis and modelling of aviation risk and safety data, working closely with Defence stakeholders to interpret requirements and shape solutions.

  • Lead analysis and modelling of aviation risk and safety data

  • Provide guidance on data governance and integration across ICT platforms
  • Create reports, dashboards and database structures that support operational insight
  • Advise on continuous improvement in data presentation and structure
About Our Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Comfortable working with data modelling, analysis and structured reporting
  • A confident communicator who can engage with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Familiar with secure or Defence environments, or willing to learn
  • Focused on practical outcomes and understanding how data supports decision-making
  • Experienced with tools like PowerBI, SQL Server, or similar
  • Able to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
