Job Role:

As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing the efficiency and uptime of our Goods-To-Person and automation platforms.

This is a hands-on role with visibility across the full operation, requiring strong technical skills and emerging leadership qualities.

Key areas of responsibility include

  • Optimizing platform performance to meet operational demands
  • Supporting preventative maintenance activities and ensuring equipment availability
  • Working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Planning teams to align labour and automation strategies
  • Analyzing data to maximize output and ensure consistent lead times at lowest cost
  • Developing and improving scalable processes across low, medium, and peak demand periods

Requirements for this role include

  • A degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Natural leadership qualities - ability to motivate and guide others
  • A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Familiarity with automation systems (e.g. Schaefer/SSI) is desirable
  • Strong skills in Excel, data analysis, and clear communication
  • Flexibility in adapting to rotating shifts essential
