Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

The role of a Valve Technician involves performing various tasks to maintain and repair safety relief valves.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with engineering personnel to perform workshop valve inspection, maintenance, testing (pre/post), and/or repair of valves.
  2. Utilize certified test equipment for valve testing and complete all quality assurance documentation as required.
  3. Disassemble, inspect, report, clean, and reassemble valves in the workshop.
  4. Machining of materials and/or parts using various machining equipment.
  5. Evaluate work and used materials against manufacturer specifications.
  6. Read and interpret engineering drawings for assembly, repair, and reassembly as needed, including completion of applicable quality documentation in paper or electronic form.
  7. Assess failures and provide recommendations to the supervisor as necessary.
  8. Conduct daily and routine safety observations and inspections.

This position requires strong mechanical skills and experience working with safety relief valves. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of valve operation, maintenance, and repair principles.
