Facilities Engineer

The Engineering Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall engineering operations of the hotel, ensuring seamless facilities management and exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage a team to deliver high-quality results.
">Main Responsibilities:
">- Lead the Engineering Team in day-to-day activities, including service standards, equipment schedules, safety protocols, and work schedules.
- Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program to ensure all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
- Coordinate services performed by outside contractors in accordance with contracts and service agreements.
- Collaborate with departments such as Housekeeping and Front Office to ensure seamless operations.
- Develop and implement an effective preventive maintenance program.
- Ensure the hotel complies with local codes and regulations related to safety and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of building and facilities to ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety, Fire, or other legislation.
- Manage maintenance expenses and identify cost-saving measures.
Requirements:
">- Possess a trade qualification in Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical engineering.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of building management/engineering principles.
- Show motivation, self-drive, and a passion for delivering consistency.
- Be flexible with rostering and availability 24/7 in case of emergencies.
- Exhibit excellent communication and collaborative skills.
- Knowledge of government regulations and technical rules is essential.
- Previous experience in facilities management, preferably within Hotels and Hospitality.
- A hands-on and approachable leader with previous experience managing and training a team.
