Design System Engineer Position

This role requires a highly skilled Design System Engineer to lead the evolution of our cross-platform design system. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of design, engineering, and product to deliver a scalable, accessible, and well-documented component library that empowers teams to move faster and more confidently.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern frontend technologies, including React and TypeScript. They will be able to partner closely with product designers to translate design principles into reusable, accessible components that reflect our brand and UX standards.

  • Architect and implement Heidi's design system across web and desktop (React/TypeScript), and collaborate on mobile (iOS) guidelines.
  • Collaborate with product designers to create reusable, accessible components that reflect our brand and UX standards.
  • Develop documentation, tooling, and contribution workflows that scale design system usage across teams.
  • Advocate for system thinking and frontend best practices within product teams.

Key qualifications include 5+ years of frontend engineering experience, strong track record of building and maintaining robust design systems or component libraries, experience collaborating with designers, and a systems mindset.
