About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Trade Supervisor to join our Mobile Maintenance Team on a permanent, full-time basis. As a Shift Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all maintenance activities during shift and ensuring that all equipment and machinery are operating efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and coordinate all maintenance tasks during your shift, including routine maintenance, inspections, and breakdown repairs.
  • Reduce equipment downtime by ensuring all maintenance activities are planned, manned, and carried out to a high standard, in a safe and timely manner.
  • Ensure workplace cleanliness is always kept to a high standard.
  • Comply with New Hope Group's Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures at all times.
Requirements
  • Mechanical Trade Qualifications within the Mechanical Engineering fields.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or in a similar role within the mining or heavy industry sector.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships and effective, high-performing teams.
  • Current coal board medical and Standard 11 Induction (or willing to obtain).
  • Experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi, and Letourneau machines.
  • Queensland driver's license (manual).
  • Experience with computer-based maintenance systems (desirable).
