Job Opportunity: Senior Executive Officer

This is a Fixed-Term position working Full-Time in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and President at CQUniversity Rockhampton.

  • The role involves leading and coordinating strategic projects, governance reporting, executive communications, and operational functions while supporting divisional strategies.

The Senior Executive Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting the Vice-Chancellor and Chief of Staff, contributing to the effective operation and influence of the Office.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering strategic communications engaging diverse audiences with clarity and impact.
  • Preparing reports, proposals, and briefings for executive and governance audiences.
  • Leading projects, analysing complex information, and providing evidence-based recommendations.
  • Managing competing priorities in a fast-paced executive environment.

We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled professional with extensive executive-level experience.

Position Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualifications with extensive executive or management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver strategic communications.
  • Highly developed written and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven capacity to lead projects, analyse complex information, and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Strong judgement, discretion, and initiative.
