Job Role:

We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathology Specialist to implement evidence-informed capacity building approaches to enhance outcomes for children and families within early learning settings.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and deliver high-quality Speech Pathology services that meet the needs of children, families, and educators.
  • To work closely with Centre Directors, Educators, and other stakeholders to observe, identify, and support the progression of children's learning, development, and well-being.
  • To communicate effectively with families, engage them in their child's learning journey, and provide regular updates on progress.
  • To build strong linkages with local services, streamline referral pathways, and ensure seamless transitions for children and families.
  • To contribute to Centre Team meetings, participate in decision-making processes, and help maintain a cohesive team environment.
  • To attend regular supervision sessions with the National Manager – Speech Pathology (or equivalent) to discuss professional development, address challenges, and celebrate successes.
  • To develop and deliver high-quality resources, reports, and briefings as required, ensuring they meet the needs of the team and stakeholders.
  • To maintain accurate records, adhere to policies and procedures, and ensure all administrative requirements are met.

You'll bring to the table:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in delivering high-quality Speech Pathology services.
  • Demonstrated expertise in interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and coaching skills.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles, with a focus on birth to 5 years.
  • Ability to document, analyze, and report on key performance indicators.
  • Desirable: Hanen Learning Language and Loving It Training Certification.
