Civil Supervisor Job Opportunity

CGC Recruitment is partnering with a family-owned civil contracting business to find a skilled Civil Supervisor to lead their land development projects in the Sydney Metropolitan area and Southwest.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working as a Civil Supervisor on subdivision/land development projects, with a strong working knowledge of earthworks, drainage, underground services, pavement, and road construction. They will be responsible for planning, directing, and supporting their team onsite to ensure all works are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervising multiple projects simultaneously
  • Managing construction crews, including labourers, drainers, road builders, utility contractors, and machine operators
  • Organizing materials and machinery to ensure the right resources are in place at the right time
  • Allocating team member tasks and monitoring work to maintain quality standards
  • Proactively managing site operations to ensure compliance with practices, policies, procedures, and statutory regulations
Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience as a Civil Supervisor on subdivision/land development projects
  • Strong working knowledge of earthworks, drainage, underground services, pavement, and road construction
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
  • High regard for HSE policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of software programs such as MS Project, Excel, and Word
  • Construction White Card and Drivers Licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and hold permanent Australian working rights
