Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Water Safety Professional to join our team on a casual basis at the Bethania Aquatic Centre.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day pool operations are conducted safely and efficiently. This includes maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons, with a focus on water safety.

As a Water Safety Professional, you will have a passion for ensuring the well-being of others, particularly in aquatic environments. You should be energetic, dynamic, and possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high standards of pool operations, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons
  • Implement water safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Collaborate with the management team to achieve exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for all visitors
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and community groups to promote the centre's activities and services
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • A Current First Aid (Level 2) certificate
  • A Current CPR Certificate
  • A National Police Check
  • A Working with Children's Check

Prior experience as a lifeguard or in a comparable role is highly regarded but not essential. We are willing to invest in your training and development, including providing funding for your Pool Lifeguard qualification if needed.
