Job Title: Australian Market Development Manager

We are engineering the future of battery energy storage in Australia. Our mission is to reduce the cost of renewable energy for everyone by building battery energy storage systems (BESS) from the cell up to make every kWh count.

Our patented CellSwitch platform can independently optimise the usage of every battery cell, delivering more energy each time a BESS is cycled while significantly extending BESS lifetime relative to conventional battery systems.

Our new AC1 BESS does things no other BESS can do, such as generating grid-compliant AC power directly from the battery cells without the need for a separate inverter. By neutralising fundamental weaknesses in today's conventional BESS architecture, the AC1 delivers enhanced safety, reliability and investment returns for BESS owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the market rollout of our new AC1 battery energy storage system for the Australian market.
  • Refining our strategy and market positioning, building partnerships with established players in the market who can both benefit from and contribute to our success.
  • Building and converting a pipeline of opportunities for the AC1 (and future products) with leading renewable energy developers, power utilities, and large C&I organisations.
  • Selling our unique value proposition during complex technical and commercial procurement processes to win against established conventional BESS competitors.
  • Ensuring that we deliver on our promise of 'More energy', working with leadership to build our project delivery, asset operations and customer success capabilities.

Requirements:


Applicants must have full working rights in Australia and be willing to undergo pre-employment background checks.

Must-have experience includes:

  • Demonstrated experience in renewable energy development (ideally in BESS) and/or significant experience in selling and delivering complex C&I energy projects.
  • A deep understanding of the practicalities of renewable energy projects from the perspective of a developer, a financier/owner, a C&I business or an OEM (PV or BESS).
  • Proven ability to get jobs done - achieving ambitious objectives, closing complex deals, and a track record of hitting business development targets.
