Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Underground Senior Geologist to join our operations in the Southern Goldfields. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and maintaining the diamond drill schedule to obtain required data for block models inline with the mining schedule.

The role involves assisting in the implementation and execution of geological tasks on a family-friendly roster. This milestone highlights the growth potential of our operations, and we are looking for a skilled geologist to contribute to our operations and values.

The Role Includes
  • Accountable for all mine geology activities, including monitoring and tracking ore mining activities.
  • Producing and maintaining the diamond drill schedule, ensuring proposals are signed off.
  • Contributing to delivering resource model updates upon drill program completion, in line with mine planning requirements.
  • Geological reconciliation, providing advice to operations to minimize dilution and maximize commercial outcomes.
  • Grade control, ore production, and geological reconciliation standards in conjunction with the Perth Technical Team.
  • Assisting in the preparation and consolidation of site Geological budgets.
  • Seeking means of reducing costs and increasing revenue through process improvement.
  • Supervising Project Geologists, Mine Geologists, Graduate/Junior Geologists, Geology technicians, and Contractors.
Requirements
  • 7+ years' mining experience (5+ years' experience in gold mining).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the mining cycle from exploration to mining and geological reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated technical excellence and best practice methods in grade control, geological modeling, and estimation.
  • Ability to accurately forecast budgets and manage costs.
  • Demonstrated experience in Leapfrog.
  • Tertiary Qualification in Geology.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, discipline, and mentor employees in geological roles.
  • Possesses a current and valid Manual Driver's Licence.
  • Possesses a National Police Clearance valid within the last 12 months.
  • The ability to pass our pre-employment process.
