Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager who can lead our team with confidence and pride. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think on their feet.
  • As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Publican to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for customers. This includes ensuring that all staff members are trained and equipped to provide exceptional service, handling customer complaints in a professional manner, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • You will also be responsible for learning the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of hospo legends. This includes developing your skills in areas such as inventory management, scheduling, and conflict resolution.
  • One of the most important qualities we look for in an Assistant Manager is the ability to handle hiccups before they turn into headaches. If you're proactive, able to think critically, and have a can-do attitude, we want to hear from you

About You / Qualifications:

  • You'll need to have been around the block a few times, having worked in a bar, bistro, or gaming room setting, and possibly even supervised others. We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of what makes a great hospitality experience.
  • You've likely learned from some amazing managers in the past and now you're ready to step up and take on new challenges. If you're confident in your abilities and eager to grow, we'd love to hear from you.
  • We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, has a positive attitude, and is able to work well under pressure. As a face of the pub when the boss is away, you'll need to be confident, proud, and people-focused.
  • A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) and RSG/RCG (Responsible Service of Gaming) certificate is essential for this role, as per state requirements.
