Teaching Position: Maths and Science Educator

We are seeking a skilled Maths and Science Educator to join our teaching team. As a key member of the school community, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students.

The primary focus of this position is on planning, preparing and delivering high-quality educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of all students.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and growth.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum programs that meet the needs of all students.
  • Mentoring and guiding student teachers to enhance their teaching skills and knowledge.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational outcomes of our students and contribute to the development of our school's strategic plan.

Selection Criteria:
  1. Demonstrated expertise in teaching mathematics and science, including the ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills into lessons.
  2. Proven experience in responding to student learning needs and developing strategies to support student growth.
  3. Ability to plan and implement high-impact teaching strategies that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  4. Experience in monitoring and assessing student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and providing feedback to students and parents.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
  6. Commitment to ongoing professional learning and a willingness to reflect on practice to improve teaching quality.
