We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Garden Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at Green by Nature. As a key member of our horticultural team, you will be responsible for leading and directing a team of maintenance staff in the upkeep and maintenance of our clients' gardens.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all garden maintenance activities are completed efficiently and to a high standard, including planting, hedging, weeding, pruning, and fertilising.

You will also be responsible for providing guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices. Additionally, you will interact with clients to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide updates on maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct a team of maintenance staff to ensure efficient completion of garden maintenance activities.
  • Follow schedules and prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion of garden maintenance activities.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.
  • Regularly inspect garden areas to assess their condition, identify improvements needed, and implement corrective actions.
  • Interact with clients to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide updates on maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens.
  • Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
  • White Card.
  • Valid Drivers' license.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
