Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Seasonal Pool Manager to lead our team at Wedderburn Swimming Pool. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of visitors and employees, as well as driving a high-performance community-minded culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Ensure the effective planning and oversight of policies, processes, and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for visitors and employees.
- Leadership and Development: Coach and develop leaders to deliver on key performance indicators (KPIs) through engagement, performance planning, and individual development plans.
- Culture and Engagement: Lead and drive a high-performance community-minded culture through highly visible and hands-on leadership and team engagement.
- Financial Management: Achieve budgeted performance targets and maintain a high-value relationship with our council partner.
- Human Resources: Recruit energetic, diverse, and passionate employees as required to complement the team and the vision for the Centre.
- Training and Development: Train staff as required to ensure that knowledge and capability are at the required levels to enable staff to carry out their work and achieve their objectives.
- Facilities Management: Maintain facilities to approved standards in line with contract requirements.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Communication and Influencing: Highly developed communication skills with a flair for positive influencing and negotiating win-win outcomes.
- Health and Safety: Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Operational Planning: Experience in planning and execution of operational, financial, and people plans to successful outcomes.
- Legal Requirements: Legal working rights in Australia.
- Pool Operations: Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or preparedness to acquire) and Pool Operations Certificate (or preparedness to acquire).
- Certifications: National Police Check, Working with Children Check, Current CPR Certificate, and Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2).
