Job Summary

The Piping Discipline Lead will oversee and direct operations within the Piping discipline, ensuring compliance with specifications and schedules. This role is responsible for supervising and directing construction operations and contractors' performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform employee reviews and identify training and development opportunities for Piping personnel.
  • Provide leadership for safety, accident, and fire prevention on the project, including safety orientation and preparation of safety procedures.
  • Ensure the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
  • Monitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
  • Interface with Labor/Industrial Relations for craft recruitment and training programs.
  • Implement corporate project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned piping operations.
Requirements
  • Strong supervision experience, including the ability to lead and manage change.
  • 8-10 years' experience in a similar role within the Heavy Industrial Field.
Preferred Skills
  • Effective communication skills to motivate team members and present plans in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong experience of liaising with and coordinating sub-contractors.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes.
Additional Information

This role requires working in a dynamic environment with changing conditions, including extensive walking, climbing, and working at heights. The successful candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task.

This is a non-smoking site, and no tobacco products are permitted to be brought to the site.

This position is available to both local and non-local personnel, with a 3/1 working roster for non-locals.
