We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fleet Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Gladstone Marine Fleet, you will be responsible for performing maintenance on vessels and other company assets.

About the Role
  • Perform day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the marine fleet and infrastructure facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of plants and machinery.

This is a critical role that requires a strong work ethic, initiative, teamwork, multi-skilling, and time management skills.

About You
  • You should have experience working with mechanical plants, particularly marine diesel engines, marine vessels, and components.
  • Demonstrated commitment to a safe working environment is essential.
  • Numerical ability, ICT, and record-keeping skills are also required.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in maintaining complex mechanical systems and will be able to follow directions, procedures, and company policy.

Requirements
  • Living locally within the Gladstone postcode area (4680) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with plant maintenance, inspection procedures, and quality control processes is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification in a relevant field.

The role involves working 80 hours per fortnight, on nine days on, five days off roster.
