Coastal and Maritime Engineering Expertise

We have an exciting opportunity in our Ports & Maritime team for a Senior Coastal Engineer to work as part of a cohesive team to deliver coastal and maritime engineering services to government, port authorities, and private sectors. This role may be based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.

This is a fantastic chance to utilize your skills and expertise in:

  • Scoping and managing the production of metocean studies
  • Marina and small craft facility design
  • Planning and design of coastal and maritime infrastructure for ports, resources, water infrastructure, aquaculture, and renewable energy sectors

The successful candidate will also manage the delivery of coastal and maritime projects in accordance with HSE and QA policies, individually or as part of a team, or by leading a project delivery team.

You will prepare proposals, fee estimates, and programs for consulting projects, liaise with clients for service delivery, networking, and business development, provide technical leadership, mentoring, and supervision for junior engineers, and undertake some intra- and interstate travel as required.

Suitable applicants will demonstrate
  • Degree qualified in Civil, Structural, or Maritime Engineering (or similar)
  • Minimum 6+ years' commercial experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge and experience in asset management, maritime structures, and port engineering
  • Experience delivering projects from start to finish; experience on Western Australian projects desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong report-writing
