About the Role

This exciting opportunity is a key support role to the Senior Manager Finance, focusing on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of NRMA's financial statements and internal/external reporting.

  • Assist in coordinating team activities to meet key deliverables
  • Provide training and guidance to financial accountants to support objectives across the team
  • Prepare and distribute the month-end Group Timetable and monitor deadlines
  • Support group consolidation and preparation of financial statements
  • Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts for balance sheet and cash flow
  • Manage monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely clearance of items
  • Complete complex accounting tasks, including investment portfolio management
  • Support statutory accounts and related information for regulatory reports and external disclosures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or a related field
  • Post-graduate professional accreditation (CA or CPA Australia)
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in a similar role in a medium to large organization
  • Experience interpreting and communicating technical accounting issues under Australian IFRS
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
