About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Sales and Customer Service Officer. As a key member of our sales and customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide sales support to assist customers in purchasing services from Dymocks Tutoring
  • Offer post-sales support to ensure that our valued customers are always delighted with the service they receive
  • Take customer sales calls and respond to customer service enquiries
  • Provide support with enrolments and access to online systems
  • Perform general administration related to sales and customer service
  • Keep the hub locations in order to present the brand well to current and prospective customers
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that the shift, across locations, is effective and completes allocated tasks
Requirements:
  • Genuine, friendly, vibrant and welcoming personality
  • A love of sales and meeting customer needs
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Good written communication skills and a high degree of attention to detail
  • You will have or need to obtain a current Working with Children Check or equivalent
  • A high level of proficiency using office productivity software
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable but not essential
  • Previous sales and customer service experience
Work Environment:

This role will be based in one of our four hubs: Parramatta, Burwood, Chatswood, and Hurstville Hubs. The hubs are located across the street from their respective area train stations, a walkable distance.

Working Hours:

This is a casual role with the following available shifts:

  • Monday to Fridays, 3 pm to 8:30 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 am to 6 pm
  • A mix of weekday and weekend shifts

The business operates during school terms on the same hours as it does in term. Leave is generally limited to school holidays and there is a 3-week mandatory shut-down over Christmas.

Application Process:

Once you have submitted an application, the process will include:

  1. Screening of applications
  2. Video screening: for applications passing through the resume screening, a requirement for a recorded video introduction in which you speak for 3 minutes (max) explaining why you would like the role and why you are a perfect candidate
  3. For candidates that pass through the video screening, an in-person interview currently conducted by video conference.
