Job Title: Road Maintenance Worker
About the RoleThe primary objective of this position is to deliver high-quality maintenance and construction services for roads and drainage infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities- Maintain and repair roads by filling potholes and edge wear using bitumen patching techniques in various weather conditions.
- Operate and maintain small plant and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Contribute to a positive safety culture through incident reporting, hazard identification, and team collaboration.
- Provide safe and efficient traffic control services according to work zone traffic management plans and Council's category 'G' registration.
- Awareness of safe working practices and commitment to personal and colleagues' safety and well-being.
- Ability to operate various work tools and resources to enhance work outcomes and expand skill set.
- Openness to sharing knowledge and information with team members and other staff.
- Understanding of team objectives and ability to work collaboratively.
- Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card)
- Class MR Driver Licence
- SafeWork accredited certificate for Traffic Controller
