Emergency Department Registrar Opportunity

Job Summary
The Latrobe Regional Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Emergency Department Registrar to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working effectively with colleagues, and contributing to the development of our emergency department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to patients in the emergency department, applying theoretical knowledge and experience to determine appropriate diagnoses, investigations, and treatments.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, including registrars, provisional trainees, HMOs, and interns, to support their professional development.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and research in emergency medicine.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
- General Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Relevant experience in emergency medicine, with a strong understanding of clinical practices and procedures.
- Registration with ACEM/ACCRM/FRACGP as a trainee is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
