Cultivating Excellence in People and Culture Leadership

We are seeking an experienced leader to develop and implement a strategic vision for people and culture, aligning with Catholic values and ensuring exceptional education outcomes.

This role demands senior leadership expertise in HR, employment relations, governance, or professional standards functions, preferably within the education sector or faith-based organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive people and culture strategy, reflecting Gospel values and statutory compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote staff well-being and facilitate excellence in Catholic education.
  • Ensure adherence to industrial relations, employment law, governance frameworks, and organizational development best practices.
  • Travel across the diocese, including remote and regional locations, to engage with staff and communities.
  • Promote a strong commitment to child safety and safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
  • Foster a deep understanding of Catholic ethos and the mission of Catholic education.
  • Undergo a national criminal history and bankruptcy check as part of the re-employment screening process.
Requirements

Postgraduate Qualifications: Law, IR, HR, Business Administration, or related field

Advanced Knowledge: Industrial relations, employment law, governance frameworks, and organizational development

Senior Leadership Experience: Overseeing HR, Governance, or Professional Standards functions in education or faith-based organizations
