We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Senior Environmental Health Officer to join our Health Protection Unit. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering good public health outcomes to our community.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and make decisions on complex matters relating to Food, Public Health and Wellbeing, Tobacco and Residential Tenancies Acts.
- Oversee a designated geographical area and provide field-based support to the team.
- Assist in the development of graduate Health Officers and work collaboratively across Council.
- Degree or diploma in Public and Environmental Health with relevant experience or post graduate qualifications.
- Eligible to be a member of Environmental Health Professionals Australia (EHPA).
- Current driver's licence and Working with Children's Check.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
