Your Responsibilities

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a skilled and driven Subcontracts & Procurement Manager to lead the subcontracts, procurement, and purchasing team. This role offers a chance to showcase your leadership skills, aligned with your expertise in Supply Chain, Contracts, and Procurement. It is a hands-on position that necessitates maintaining and executing adherence to statutory and organizational compliance standards.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, successful candidates will exhibit a strategic mindset, taking ownership of the function and guiding their team with focus, clarity, and intent, while ensuring consistency across our subcontracting, program/project activities, and operational procurement functions.

As a leader, you will be someone who anticipates the needs of our clients and stakeholders, setting the pace accordingly. Your ability to provide strategic vision, leadership, and direction to the subcontracts and procurement team will be essential for the team's success.

Key Responsibilities include:

Directing and executing subcontracting requirements and flow-down efforts to establish the comprehensive subcontract plan, proposal assessment, analysis, and final evaluation of proposals. Serving as a business advisor to internal stakeholders; utilizing commercial insight and experience to deliver market intelligence, supply chain solutions, and proactive support to business units and/or programs. Leading, mentoring, and being accountable for the procurement team's performance and initiatives. Planning and conducting negotiations with suppliers, managing contract terms and conditions, and overseeing flow-down change requests from suppliers; including leading proposal preparation and management of lower complexity subcontracts. Overseeing the total performance management of suppliers, which includes but is not limited to cost, quality, and delivery performance. Additionally, conducting internal and external cadence reviews with subcontract administrators and internal stakeholders. Assisting the Head of Operations in formulating strategic financial and annual operational plans, setting departmental objectives, and managing the department budget.

Skills & Competencies:

Essential:

Extensive experience in subcontracts and/or head contracts. Significant experience in Procurement, Purchasing, and Buying. Strong collaborative skills and the ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders. Capability to drive change and foster innovation. Solid technical knowledge complemented by commercial acumen. Proficiency in influencing and exceptional negotiation skills. Familiarity with software systems, including SAP (experience with Ariba is a plus).

Desirable:

Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Experience in leading a cross-functional team. Background in working within a highly matrixed, global organization.
