This role involves overseeing end-to-end payroll operations for a major organization in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of payroll professionals and outsourced providers, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll delivery on a fortnightly basis.
The Payroll Manager will drive broader employment tax compliance, stakeholder engagement, and integration of payroll operations for newly acquired businesses.
- Lead payroll operations and compliance across multiple entities and states, including superannuation, salary packaging, and STP reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with outsourced payroll providers and ensure service excellence.
- Drive payroll governance, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
- Lead payroll integration for acquisitions, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance.
- Coordinate employment tax activities including FBT, payroll tax, and workers compensation.
- Provide strategic insights through payroll reporting and analytics to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with global payroll teams to align best practices and contribute to group strategy.
About You:

- Proven experience managing Australian payroll operations for 1000+ employees.

- Demonstrated leadership capability and experience managing a team.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and staying ahead of industry trends.
- Payroll certification or relevant qualifications.
