ResMed is seeking a dynamic and results-driven privacy professional to support the company's mission to improve the quality of life for patients, customers, and partners.

This role will involve providing first-class support to product owners, business functions, and internal clients in the area of privacy and digital health technology.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in digital health solutions and some experience working in technology or healthcare. They should be comfortable partnering with business stakeholders to enable initiatives while minimizing risk and applying privacy-by-design principles.

  1. Work collaboratively as part of a global privacy team to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  2. Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders to identify, mitigate, and address risks.
  3. Provide practical legal support, risk mitigation, and privacy risk assessment on a global and customer-centric basis.
  4. Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements and analyses required to enable product development.
  5. Draft, review, negotiate, and manage privacy-related legal documents, including data processing agreements, data transfer agreements, business associate agreements, etc.
  6. Collaborate with other legal and privacy team members to offer consistent guidance on key areas that cross the organization.
  7. Stay up-to-date on regulatory trends and navigate the business through complex new areas to success.
Requirements
  1. 2-4 years of relevant legal experience in-firm or in-house with a focus on privacy.
  2. A juris doctorate (J.D.) or equivalent degree in law preferred.
  3. One or more privacy certifications from recognized institutions strongly preferred.
