A project engineer is required to support the engineering team in delivering project objectives and milestones.

The successful candidate will contribute to a culture of safety and health above all else, and work on construction projects for high voltage and fibre optic substations, coal seam gas well head facilities and associated equipment.

Key responsibilities include creating and reviewing work packs, risk assessments, SWMS and subcontractor mobilisation plans, as well as providing an interface and planning with other project disciplines to ensure uninterrupted and safe execution of work.

Daily site visits, monitoring of construction progress and ensuring quality documentation are also key components of this role, along with providing technical support to construction crews and managing the closeout and handover of construction to pre-commissioning packages.

To be successful in this role, you will need a tertiary qualification in electrical engineering, minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position on a large engineering/construction project, and demonstrated ability to work successfully and autonomously within a fast-paced project environment and deliver on deadlines.

You will also need proven verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholders, qualifications in electrical equipment in hazardous areas – design, install and maintenance, and RPEQ qualification and HV experience.

A commitment to safety and health above all else is essential for this role, which involves working on an 18 on and 10 off roster from Brisbane or locally.
