Job Overview

Moving Picture Company is seeking a skilled Compositing Team Lead to join our team in an exciting role.

As Compositing Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a high-performing compositing team, ensuring that they have the skills and resources needed to deliver high-quality results on time.

You will work closely with the production team to understand their requirements and develop strategies to meet those needs, while also staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of compositors to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement workflows and processes to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with production teams to understand project requirements and develop solutions
  • Provide training and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills to succeed
  • Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail throughout the compositor's workflow

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in leading and managing high-performing teams in film or high-end TV/Streaming productions
  • Advanced knowledge of Nuke and all aspects of compositing
  • Ability to composite high-complexity, creatively challenging shots or lookdev
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with Linux and bash/tcsh scripting an asset
  • Familiarity with Python scripting/Nuke gizmos/NDK an asset

What We Offer
