Our organization is expanding, with numerous facilities and a diverse team of employees across various regions. We also provide home care services and manage several retirement villages and independent living communities.

Role of the Personal Care Assistant

The selected candidates will become integral members of our supportive care team, providing essential personal care and assistance to residents under the supervision of the senior clinical staff. The Personal Care Assistant will be responsible for ensuring residents receive the care and support they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personal care to help residents maintain their independence and dignity in daily activities.
  • Assist with meal delivery and refreshments as needed.
  • Document observations on relevant assessment charts and report any deviations from the care plan to the nursing staff.
  • Review residents' daily menu preferences.
  • Perform assigned duties as directed by the nursing staff, including general care tasks.
  • Complete any other tasks within the employee's skill set as directed by the organization.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Current National Police Certificate & NDIS Screening (or ability to obtain)
  • Relevant Certificate III Qualification
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills

To be eligible for employment with Respect, candidates must meet the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability for the aged care sector.
