  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer-centric cargo operations through supervision, organisation, and coordination of all work areas during an operational shift.
  • Conduct on-the-job coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to drive high levels of performance and service excellence.
  • Allocate resources efficiently and effectively to deliver operational requirements and meet Service Level Agreements.
  • Maintain adherence to industry standards, legislative requirements, and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Provide quality metrics and reporting on critical business issues.
Health and Safety Responsibilities

Our Cargo Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and adhering to dnata's Health and Safety Management System. Key responsibilities include:

  • Compliance with dnata's Safety and Environment Policies.
  • Compliance with legislative Health & Safety requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a positive safety culture focused on awareness and vigilance.
  • Conduct work in accordance with dnata's Health & Safety Management System.
  • Follow all safety work procedures and adhere to safety guidelines provided.
  • Participate in emergency drills and/or evacuations.
Essential Criteria

As a successful candidate, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Knowledge of all aspects of cargo handling, including warehouse and office operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and a commitment to driving a customer-centric service culture within the team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as negotiation skills.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Previous experience in a highly controlled and regulated industry, with the ability to lead, translate, implement, and manage ongoing compliance, industry standards, and legislative requirements into standard operations.
  • Understanding of financial and budget processes and the ability to drive business improvement initiatives.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Hermes Cargo Operations System.
Desirable Criteria

The following skills and qualifications would be highly advantageous:

  • Previous experience in or knowledge of airline industry principles and procedures.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of cargo handling and warehouse operations.
