We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Solutions Architect to join our team at Dolby Laboratories. This is a hand-on technical role that demands a candidate capable of doing quality work against technical and schedule challenges, following strong software design and process principles.

The position requires knowledge in iOS and/or Android media stack to develop audio/video capture, playback and streaming libraries. You will lead and contribute in high quality SDK architecture definition, plan, design, develop and deliver iOS and/or Android native audio-video capture, playback and streaming applications and libraries.

About the Role:

  • Leverage your expertise in mobile development to design, architect, and implement scalable and efficient mobile solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Serve as a technical lead, mentor, and guide for junior members in project team.
  • Establish and breakdown software design requirements and performance goals of SDK's.
  • Collaborate with audio engineers and QA engineers to establish requirements and ship high quality SDK's.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential issues and risks in a project.
  • Document requirements, software manuals and test procedures in collaboration with scrum team.
  • Makes informed technical decisions, considering all aspects of the problem.
  • Efficiently handle ambiguity and multiple competing priorities at work.

About You:

  • You have 8+ years' solid commercial experience developing native iOS and/or Android apps.
  • You possess professional experience using iOS and/or Android Media frameworks.
  • You have experience in using JSON and REST-based API's for mobile applications.
  • You have the ability to own and lead development projects in an Agile Environment.
  • You have good verbal communication in both general and technology-specific applications.
