Senior Mobile Application Development Lead

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Mobile Application Development Lead.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for providing technical leadership in cross-platform mobile development for iOS and Android.
  • Guide your team through all phases of the application lifecycle, ensuring high-quality apps that meet performance, security, and user experience standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance in Xamarin or MAUI-based cross-platform mobile development.
  • Oversee requirements gathering, technical design, code development, and system change implementation.
  • Lead a development squad, overseeing planning, code reviews, peer reviews, testing, documentation, and reporting.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering skills development and best practices.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate concepts into user-friendly designs.
  • Integrate mobile applications with back-end services using RESTful APIs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues and bottlenecks to optimise app quality and performance.
  • Ensure adherence to CI/CD practices and maintain code versioning (Git).
  • Stay updated on mobile technology trends; champion continuous improvement across teams.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align on project scope, schedules, and release plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 9 years of experience in a lead mobile application development role, with extensive experience in Javascript web or equivalent frameworks OR 9+ years of experience in Swift/Kotlin development and their predecessors.
  • At least 5 years' hands-on experience building Xamarin or MAUI solutions (including Xamarin.Forms and/or Xamarin.Native).
  • Proven track record developing, deploying and supporting cross-platform mobile applications.
  • Technical leadership experience, including managing and coaching squads, plus direct client/customer engagement.
  • Australian Baseline Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
