About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Finance Manager to join our team at Lawson Elliott, a leading private property development group with a strong multi-billion dollar pipeline of projects.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing our project accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and driving business growth through effective financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Project Accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Oversight of all project accounting requirements, including P&L review, Balance Sheet control, and monthly reporting.
  • Business partnering with Development and Project Managers to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
  • Review and enhancement of project controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Management of settlements and project call notices, ensuring smooth execution and minimizing risks.
  • Implementation and development of system and reporting tools to enhance financial visibility and efficiency.
  • Cost control and cashflow management, ensuring accurate forecasting and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
  • CA/CPA qualified with 8+ years of experience in Senior Accountant or Finance Manager roles, preferably in construction or development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Excel and system skills, with experience in developing and rolling out new processes.
  • Strong business partnering abilities, excellent communication skills, and a positive approach to problem-solving.
  • Able to operate effectively in a complex environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple stakeholders.
