Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and lead a national workforce, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Maintenance Planning and Execution: Oversee maintenance planning, scoping, and execution using CMMS (Oracle SAP).
  • Reliability and Performance: Implement strategies to reduce breakdown maintenance and improve reliability.
  • Spare Parts Management: Manage spare parts inventory, including rotables, to minimize downtime.
  • Equipment Optimization: Optimize performance of fixed plant equipment, focusing on mill drive trains (pinion alignment change out, girth gear grease lubrication systems, mill gearbox change out).
  • Specialized Skills: Handle large mill pumps and possess expertise in crushing (primary, secondary, and tertiary).

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within the mining industry.
  • Leadership and Training: Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop a diverse workforce.
  • Time Management: Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize planned and emergency maintenance tasks effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive hands-on experience with CMMS (Oracle SAP) and other maintenance management systems.
  • Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in mill drive trains, large mill pumps, and crushing operations.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and cultures.
