Job Opportunity

We are seeking to fill a role responsible for managing and processing incoming food waste.

The successful candidates will be tasked with:

  • Handling solid and liquid organic waste material
  • Removing contaminants from the waste stream
  • Sorting and separating general waste, recycling and organic waste into individual piles
  • Overseeing the processing of waste from receipt through to de-packaging, maceration and delivery to storage units
  • Operating machinery such as forklifts, tractors and conveyor belts

Requirements:

  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the position
  • Ability to work in an environment producing odours
  • Capacity to manage workflow and prioritize tasks
  • Possession of a Forklift License is highly desirable
  • No formal qualifications required, but experience in waste operations is highly regarded
