About the Mechanical Fitter Role:
We are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to join our team in Melbourne, Victoria.
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for installing elevator equipment across various building types.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Complete elevator installations from commencement to commissioning.
- Manage equipment installation environments during installation activities.
- Communicate with customers on day-to-day installation and logistical activities.
- Report installation progress to supervisors.
- Carry out activities in accordance with health, quality, and safety standards.
- Install equipment according to predetermined methods and schedules.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years' mechanical experience, preferably in the lift industry.
- Certificate 3 in mechanical fitting/fabrication engineering (desired).
- Trade tickets in dogging and advanced rigging (desired).
- Motivated and self-starter who can manage workload and priorities.
- Commitment to working safely with a strong focus on quality.
- Customer service mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
