Teach and Inspire in Foundation Studies

RMIT University Pathways is seeking a casual teacher to deliver engaging classes, guide student learning, and help prepare students for success in higher education in our Foundation Studies Program.

About the Role:

  • Deliver lectures and tutorials to students enrolled in the Foundation Studies course
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Contribute to the curriculum development and implementation
  • Provide an exceptional student experience

Key Course Topics:

  • Understanding the human brain and nervous system function
  • Stress impact analysis on the body
  • Consciousness, sleep patterns, and their effects on functioning
  • Mental health concepts, including phobia management approaches
  • Research methods related to mental processes and psychological functioning

Requirements:

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in delivering and assessing courses
  • Relevant industry experience and substantial discipline knowledge
  • Ability to identify learning problems and propose effective strategies
  • Capacity to work effectively as a team member
  • Current Working with Children Check (or VIT registration)
  • A recognised degree relevant to the course being taught, plus a formal qualification in education or teaching experience
